A Change in the Air

There’s a point at the end of winter when you start to notice the little things.  We have lambs bouncing around in our home paddock and calves arriving soon.  The peacocks have their long tail feathers, and their calls have changed.

The mornings are still cool, but the light hangs around a little longer. The sun feels warmer on your face. Windows stay open for just that bit more time, and suddenly you can imagine packing away the heavy layers again.

Spring is nearly here.

After months of winter weather, we’re ready for the change — lighter days, bare feet, salty afternoons and that first real hint that summer isn’t quite so far away.

There’s something about a new season that always feels like a fresh start.

The beaches get a little busier. The evenings stretch out. Favourite tees come back into rotation, hoodies become something you throw over your shoulders rather than bundle yourself into, and life starts moving outdoors again.

Here at Salty Surf & Co., this is one of our favourite times of year.

It’s that in-between season — still cool enough for layers, but warm enough to start dreaming about long days by the water.

And we’re definitely dreaming.

Of spring road trips.
Coffee by the beach.
Windows down.
Sand underfoot.
And those evenings when nobody is quite ready to head home.

So, here’s to the change of season and everything that comes with it.
